ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hafsa at Hadrian’s wall – UK (2002)

Hafsa Bekri Lamrani
is a professor of British and American Literature, a poet and writer. She published  a collection of short stories (Jellabiates – 2001) two collections of poetry (Tendresse et autres lumières and Sparks of Life – 2004). Her novel Et pourtant elle rêve is under print. She participated to ten collective books on themes such as: Women Rights Issues, Handicraft and Women Empowerment, Women and Religions in Morocco,  Women Writing Africa, Identity and Resistance of the Imazighen (Berbers), Brussels as seen by Moroccan Writers, Casablanca, a Nest of Artists.

She participated to key conferences such as:

Le Forum de Delphes on Europe’s reunion and the third world
( Greece – 1992)
The Women World Conference  (Beijing – 1995)
TESOL  English Teachers Conference (Chicago- 1996)
Dutch Literature and Translation ( Les Phares du Nord – Rabat and Casablanca – 2002)

International Conference on André Malraux ( Casablanca – 2002)
400 Years of Moroccan Dutch Diplomatic Relations (Amsterdam – 2005)

She was nominated in 2012 for the Moroccan Women Mentoring and Networking Award.
